I am a 32 year old man, old enough to realize that I know little about life in general. Though I have plenty of opinions that speak to the contrary. I was an unmedicated, undiagnosed Type 2 Bipolar for about 15 years. I had many high end autistic qualities which I did not find about until after my child was diagnosed with it. I was lucky to survive it, and I know that. I started this blog to share my views and perceptions about the Disorder and life in general. A Bipolar individual will almost always see things differently than a neurotypical. I feel it is important for other people that have been in my position and are just setting out on their own journey to understand there is hope for something better in the future. For many years, I had no hope. Not a god damned bit of it. It took diagnosis, therapy, medication, and finally being open about what was going on in my mind to start to even feel hope.
So if you’re Bipolar, keep walking forward. Wellness is attainable. But you have to fight, scrape, and drag yourself along to attain it.
Other than that, there’s really nothing of importance I wish to say of myself or that anyone would give a damn about.
If you’re looking for an unapologetic, realistic view of the world and the disorder from someone who lives with it; welcome to my blog. If you need things sugar-coated and tap-danced around, you might be happier elsewhere.
